Ghost Head on the Balcony
It was daytime. Around noon. Quite a sunny day. The sun was scorching hot and the place seemed quiet.
David was on his way to his friend's apartment. He was already in the neighborhood and was on his way to his friend's block. But it was still quite a long way to go. The neighborhood was quiet, dirty and unmanaged, as usual, with rubbish strewn everywhere and plants growing out of place, covering up corners of the apartment buildings.
David caught sight of a deserted ground floor balcony in front of him. According to his friend, the apartment, which the balcony belonged to, was deserted for years and was supposedly haunted. David was wary of the fact but out of curiosity, he went to get a closer look.
David saw something dark and weird in one corner of the balcony. It was the size of a soccer ball. David went even closer to find out what it was, exactly. It was dark. Black. And it was hairy. David could not make out what it was. So he went to look at the thing from a different angle and to his horror, he saw... a face. It was a human head.
David was taken aback and he nearly fell. The face on the head smiled at him and he ran like hell to his friend's apartment, not looking back for even a second.
