Eye in the Back of the Head
Crowded was the best description for the situation. The airport was full of people. From obese women to skinny girls, old men to young boys. They were all waiting for their flights. Chang was one of them. He was awaiting his plane that would be flying him back home to Hong Kong.
Chang worked as a freelance photographer and he was quite capable financially. However, he still had an extremely bad habit - pick-pocketing. He loved to pick-pocket. Not because he needed to, but because he loved to. After successfully grabbing someone's wallet or purse, he would pretend that the person dropped it and later, return it to the person.
Chang was bored to tears at the airport but the plane finally arrived and the swarm of people stood up and moved towards the boarding gate. Chang saw a superb opportunity to snatch a wallet from the old man in front of him. Unfortunately for him, the man bent over to pick up something and Chang lost his one and only chance.
Then, another old man wearing a hat moved in front of him. His wallet was visible and practically begging to Chang to grab it. Chang reached out for it and was about to grab it when the old man loudly said, "Don't try it."
Chang was taken aback. How did the old geeser know? Was he psychic? Did he have super hearing? Chang took a look at the man's head. He had short dark hair and was wearing a hat. Then something on the back of his head twitched... the hair horizontally parted and an eye opened, staring straight at Chang's face. Frightened and shocked, Chang froze on the spot whilst the rest of the people boarded the plane. The flight attendants had to drag a pale Chang into the plane...
