Demonoids in the Woods

A Demon is an evil creature from hell. A Demonoid on the other hand... well, Demonoid is the name of a website. But in this case, I will refer to Demonoid as a small-scale demon-like creature. Search google for "Toyol", the Malay term used to call these creatures.

My friend had an encounter with demonoids once. In this story, he would like to hide his real name and would like to be referred to as just "Blastoise". FYI, he likes Blastoise during his childhood days watching Pokemon.

OK, Blastoise was walking home from his friend's house one night. He had to walk past a dark alley that cut across the woods. There was no light. Just some dim moonlight. But he had to use that route. OK, let's just cut the chase. He suddenly saw some silhouettes dashing across the path, from one side to the other. The silhouettes were really small - about the height of toddlers. Blastoise was a bit frightened and the hair on his nape started to rise. And then some more silhouettes were visible... They were quite active but this time, they stopped in the middle of the path. They were all short. And then Blastoise looked around and realized that he was surrounded by those creatures; Demonoids. They had red glowing eyes and they were converging on him.

Blastoise did not know what to do... and thank God, he heard a dog barking and that scared the demonoids away, back into the woods. The dog dashed past Blastoise and it was a relief. But a short-lived one, as when the dog turned back to glance at Blastoise for a couple of seconds, Blastoise could see that the dog had the same red eyes as well!

Blastoise ran home and made sure he never walked that path ever again.
