Werewolves

Simply put, human-like creatures that have features of a wolf. Eg: claws, fur, nose, fangs... And legend has it that they are actually transformed from ordinary people. This transformation often happens with the appearance of the full moon. This is popularly noted by the medieval chronicler Gervase of Tilbury, and it may also have been recognized in earlier times in ancient Greece through the writings of Petronius.

The word werewolf is most likely to derive from two old-Saxon words, wer (meaning man) and wolf. In Greece, Werewolves are also known as lycanthropes (human, man). They are mythological or folkloric humans that can turn into wolves or anthropomorphic wolf-like creatures. This can happen in 2 ways. One wa is on purpose after being bitten or scratched by another werewolf. Another way is if the guy is being placed under a curse.
